1. Eligibility
The Datsun 311 Photo Contest is open to individuals aged 18 or older at the time of entry. Entrants must reside in the U.S. Mainland. The featured vehicle in the photo submission must be an automobile produced in or before the model year of 2000. Entrants must own the vehicle pictured in the submitted photo. Please note that the winner will be required to provide ownership verification during the final selection process. Employees, organizers, and immediate family members of the contest administration are ineligible to participate.
2. Registration & The "2,000 Entry" Threshold
Participation is strictly limited to the first 2,000 individuals who pre-register via our Pre-Registration page.
Pre-registration does not constitute a completed entry. It reserves the participant's right to submit a photo once the contest threshold is met. When the 2,000 pre-registrants are confirmed, all participants will be notified via the email provided during registration.
3. Entry Fees & Submission Window
Upon notification, each entrant must pay a non-refundable Judging Fee of $20.00 USD.
The 96-Hour Rule: Entrants have exactly 96 hours from the time the notification email is sent to complete their payment and upload their photo. Failure to do so within this window will result in a forfeiture of the slot, which will be offered to a wait-listed participant. Only one (1) photo submission is permitted per paid entry.
4. Submission Requirements
Photos must be the original work of the entrant and must not be AI-generated. By entering, you warrant that you own all intellectual property rights to the image. Photos may feature a vehicle in any condition (Restored, Original, Patina, or Modified) as long as it was manufactured before the year 2000. Judging is based on overall composition of the photograph, not the monetary value or condition of the vehicle. Submissions must be in high-resolution digital format (JPEG or PNG, 300 DPI being a good base) . No physical prints will be accepted.
5. Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on: (a) Composition and Perspective; (b) Storytelling and Emotional Impact; and (c) Creative Execution. The decisions of the judges are final and binding in all respects.
6. Rights & Licensing
Entrants retain ownership of their photographs. However, by submitting, the entrant grants the Datsun 311 Photo Contest a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce the image for promotional purposes related to the contest, and to display the winning photo.
7. Prize Information
Upon winner announcement, the Datsun Roadster will be delivered to the winner’s designated address. The winner is exclusively responsible for all applicable taxes (federal, state, and local) and all costs related to vehicle title, registration, licensing, and insurance.
8. Changes
The Datsun 311 Contest reserves the right to modify future contest rules, such as prize, limit as to number of entrants, and judging fee.
