From mid-century roadsters and classic muscle cars to the performance icons of the 90s, vehicles built before the year 2000 represent a significant era of automotive history. The Datsun 311 Photo Contest celebrates the fusion of vintage engineering and automotive art. Open to everyone dreaming of their first Roadster or looking to add another to their collection. Our contest is strictly limited to 2,000 participants to ensure a premium, professional judging experience
Eligibility
Any make or model produced up to and including the year 2000. This includes all domestic and import coupes, sedans, roadsters, and trucks from this era. Whether it is a meticulous restoration, a "patina" survivor, or a purpose-built track machine—if it was manufactured before 2000, it is eligible for entry. Entrants must own the vehicle pictured in the submitted photo.
Why the $20 Judging Fee?
The fee ensures that every entrant is committed to the contest and allows us to provide manual judging. It also contributes to the significant prize of a Datsun 311 Roadster.
The Prize
Once 2,000 entries are secured, we will purchase a Datsun 311 Roadster (valued at $22,000–$25,000) for the contest’s Grand Prize. We will source a 1600 or 2000 model in the best condition possible, specifically curated for its originality and period-correct features.
Submission Process
When the 2,000-entrant limit is reached, each registrant will be notified via email with instructions on how to pay the fee and upload their highest-quality car capture. Whether it’s the sleek lines of a show-stopper or the weathered soul of a vintage daily driver, your work will be evaluated on composition, storytelling, and artistic execution.
Note: The entrant will have 96 hours to submit their photo and fee from the time of the official notification.
Important: Registration automatically closes once 2,000 participants are reached. Only those who complete the $20.00 judging fee within the designated 96-hour window will move forward to the official judging round. If you miss the submitting period, you will automatically be pre-registered into our next contest and have the opportunity to participate then.
